What is a Focus Group and Remote Research?
A focus group is a research method similar to an interactive and lively round-table discussion. They are usually conducted with a small number of people who have similar interests. A leader directs the discussion to explore a variety of issues related to the topic being researched. Focus groups are usually held at special facilities located across the country that are designed to accommodate the unique requirements of marketing research. Like Focus Groups, clients also host these studies in a remote manner via Zoom or other online platforms. These can be 1 on 1 or in small group settings as well.

How can I participate in market research studies?
Companies that specialize in focus group research maintain databases of people in their community who are interested in participating in focus groups or other marketing research studies. Once a person becomes a database member, he/she may be contacted periodically and interviewed to determine whether or not he/she meets the criteria required for a particular study.

On the next screen you will be ask some questions to create a professional profile. Many of the questions will be a requirement to validate your information or contact you in the future. Questions that are optional for participation in the database will have the option “rather not answer” or the ability to skip to the next screen. Each one of these questions help us to pre-determine if individuals within our database meet the criteria that we may be in search of for a particular project, so skipping questions will reduce the chance that we will contact you for future studies. If you would like to skip a required question, you may exit the survey at any time and will not be included in the database.
